The Mermaid Cafe Branding Collateral

The Mermaid Cafe  |  Brand Identity - Website Design & Development

The Mermaid Cafe was the long time dream of Leah Meyer, on a mission to be the first cafe of its kind to employ people with disabilities to serve up the best coffee and sweet treats San Antonio has to offer. I was honored to be chosen to assist with the comprehensive brand identity system for all their merchandise, signage, collateral and more, in addition to building their website. Working closely with Leah to make her dream come true was truly an amazing endeavor. This project was carefully tailored to support a unique business with a meaningful mission in the community, and to help strengthen the thriving community in San Antonio.

MasterPoint Consulting  |  Brand Refresh - AI Image Creation - Website Design & Development

I met Matt Gowie, owner of MasterPoint Consulting in our "A-Team" group for IndeCollective, as a fellow independant, I immediately resonated with the same drive and passion in Matt that I put in all our work. His brand and user experience left a little to be desired, and he approached me to help him take it to the next level. The "DNA" of his brand was there, but the mark and execution needed a little refinement - which I developed into the MasterPoint "M" Knot. I assisted in fleshing out his full brand identity system for a cohesive foundation, and rolled that into a new user experience that would set him apart from everyone else in his field. I love the way this site came together with subtle movement and unique visuals I developed using AI (midjourney).

Penelope The Pesky Pelican  |  Writing - Publishing - Website Design & Development

Winner of Literary Titan Book Award and Reader's Favorite Five-Stars. When my father called with the concept for Penelope the Pesky Pelican, I never would have dreamed of the adventure we would take writing, editing, collaborating with an illustrator, curating the production, and self-publishing the first edition of the book. The story is a timeless tale of Penelope the Pelican on a beautiful summer day as she learns the true meaning of friendship. Wonderfully illustrated by Evelina Losich in a way families of all ages will truly enjoy. Available for Now on the website or on Amazon.

York Access Control  |  Brand Identity Refresh - Website Design & Development - Content Strategy

York Access Control came to me with a legacy brand that had a lot of baked-in opportunity, but with a dated website and no clear brand consistency to convey the client confidence and showcase their quality work and testimonials for all their security projects. I worked with them to revitalize their existing mark and work in some subtle updates that would make the original founder proud. The end result was an intuitive user experience and an immediate increase in conversions.

Ambassadors for Self Determination  |  Brand Identity - Website Design & Development

To learn of the atrocities plaguing the Biafran people of Nigeria was nothing short of eye opening. Drogin Group was enlisted to develop a comprehensive brand identity and user experience and I was fortunate to handle the creative direction, design and development for this incredible movement. Self Determination is fundamentally foundational to what we are so blessed to call 'Freedom', and being a part of the fight for the Biafran people is truly an honor.

USA Outdoor Media  |  Brand Refresh - Website Design & Development

USA Outdoor Media located in Round Rock came to me with a legacy website that had hardly been touched over the last 20 years (aside from some light content updates) and it looked like it! The poor and dated website was signficantly holding back the conversion opportunities and hampering the paid advertising campaigns. I worked with the organization to refresh the brand identity while retaining the same ‘DNA’ while rebuilding the new website from the ground up, with an emphasis on creating an SEO friendly site and a conversion focused funnel, resulting in an immediate jump in daily conversions 3-5x the original website! 🥳 In addition to the new design, we implemented targeted search engine optimization strategies and ongoing SEO efforts to improve visibility on Google, helping to drive more qualified traffic to the site. These improvements played a key role in driving traffic to the site and increasing conversions.

American Sheriff Network  |  Brand Identity - Website Design & Development

I was a big fan of Live PD when they were here in Wilco, and I always missed them when they were pulled from the air. Well, Sheriff Mark Lamb linked up with my friends over at Lincoln Strategy Group who reached out for help with the Brand Identity + Website Design and Development for the new online-only subscription streaming service, American Sheriff Network. I wanted to craft a user-experience that was not only intuitive for the wide-range of audiences, but unique to the American Sheriff Network brand. The result was an immersive experience to put you in the passenger seat of all the action with an easy to navigate interace consistent across all devices. Inevitably, in short turn, American Sheriff was sold to TRUBLU streaming 🏆

Brynnstone Lending  |  Brand Research - Brand Identity - Website Design & Development

I was approached by the partners of Brynnstone Lending before they even had a name selected - they needed competitive market research for luxury asset lending completed to select and secure a name that would pave the way for a unique brand identity system and user experience the brand could grow into and stand out with. I produced a number of strong possible names without any market competition, and Brynnstone Lending was the winner. From there I developed a unique brand identity system and cohesive website landing page for the foundation of the organization.

SJRC Texas  |  Website Design & Development

I was approached by Red Orchid Marketing and KGB Texas to assist with the overhaul of the SJRC Texas user experience. They were on a crumbling templated infrastructure in need of an intuitive refresh for users to easily locate resources and engage with the SJRC initiatives. I took SJRC through a comprehensive content strategy through design and development process to refine their user flow and everyone couldn’t be happier with the results. The new website significantly enhanced SJRC Texas's digital presence by providing seamless control over content and enabling real-time updates, which improved user experiences for their audience across all devices. A key part of this process was focused on tailored content creation, ensuring that every piece of content was customized to enhance SJRC’s online engagement and build greater trust with their audience.

MotoGFX  |  Website Design & Development

MotoGFX had a legacy website that was failing to convert due to a host of technical and user-experience issues. I worked closely with their team to bring their website into the modern era of the web, cohesive with their existing brand, and happily increased conversions by 100% (due solely to the technical errors, but still 🥳). Matt and his team gave me almost unlimited creative freedom, which was an awesome experience to try and do something super unique and engaging while still prioritizing conversions. The spash of ink background video really brings the brand together, and speaks to all their unique print and marketing offerings.

Small Wars Journal  |  Brand Identity - Website Design & Development

Small Wars Journal has a long standing history as an online military publication for over 20 years. Their legacy website was hung up on Drupal with two decades worth of archival content. As a part of the acquisition by Arizona State University, I was enlisted to assist with the rebranding and new user experience to help bring the website up to today's online publication standards on Wordpress. The final result was a far more intuitive user experience and the ability for ASU to confidently monetize the traffic to bring more value to the authors and users alike.

Kickstand Communications  |  Website Design & Development

Kickstand Communications in Austin, TX came to me in need of a more intuitive way to manage their website's content that they wanted to optimize for new SEO initiatives while enlisting an SEO firm. Turns out, like many SEO vendors these days, they were leading the Kickstand team astray with 'blackhat' SEO tactics. I was able to help them salvage the efforts and develop a new custom user experience from the ground up that better represented all their hard work and services. The final result was on-brand and on-time, and helping their content reach new users daily.

Athletes For Care  |  Website Design and Development

I was introduced to Robert Gallery and the Athletes For Care team through another non-profit I work closely with, VETS on a similar mission to legalize psychedelic medicine and research for PTSD and brain trauma. Like many non-profits, A4C came under dire circumstances with crumbling web infrastructure and a misguided strategic direction for fundraising and brand awareness. I'm working closely with A4C on a regular basis to continue their mission and the momentum has been steadily growing with psychedlic medicine now becoming much more mainstream. I wanted to so something super standout and engaging to speak to the athletes and broader demographic. The final result has helped spark a movement and increase grassroots donations significantly.

Koality Accelerator  |  Website Design and Development

With the successful launch of Policubes, we had assembled a small 'dream team' of skills between engineering, product design and development, production, and front-to-back marketing - so we put our heds together one more time to create the collective, Koality Accelerator. Individually we've worked with some of the industries best and brightest, and created some of the most memorable products and experiences. Combined we are setting our sights even higher. I had a lot of fun throwing together this unique and engagement microsite to get us off the ground. If you're interested in building a product, you know where to find us! 🚀

Rest Easy Home Inspections  |  Brand Identity - Photography - Website Design & Development

My childhood friend was launching his new venture into home inspections and needed a brand identity and website that would stand out in the crowded local home inspection market. I was super excited to take on the challenge and help set the bar high for his first experience with a designer. The result is easily one of my favorite brands, a clever portrayal of his brand name with a subtle home silhouette worked into a bed headboard. I also assisted with a simple, but intuitive website his organization could grow into. The solution was designed specifically for small businesses looking to establish a strong online presence. The new website helps generate leads for the home inspection business by attracting potential customers and encouraging them to get in touch. This led to a significant boost in lead generation, resulting in more clients and a noticeable increase in phone calls from interested customers.

Dana Marruffo has owned an operated Buzz Public Relations for over two decades, and her legacy website was starting to look a bit dated, so she approached me with a new vision for the organization, putting her personal brand front-and-center to showcase her deep portfolio of public relations experience in Austin, TX.
